Re-Think this String!
With all the new strings being offered, it is easy to forget about strings that have served us well and are very good!
One such string is Head FXP.
If you are wondering why, take a look at the tensile strength—160.4 pounds. Then look at the elasticity, which is the nice grouping in the stress/strain range!
After that, we can see the linearity is pretty good from 50 pounds to UTS, which relates to consistency.
This string is good, and we will continue to use it and probably increase its use in applications that want a great feel and durability.

Head has discontinued this string. Do you recommend any similar strings to this?
Thanks for the message, Alan. I am not sure Head has discontinued this string; however, I am sure the market for this string is small.
I will check with Head to confirm the availability of this string and post it here.
Head has confirmed the FXP series has been discontinued!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
Alan, we use Gosen AK Pro, also made in Japan, as well as the FXP. You may want to give it a try and let us know what you think.
