Perfect Failure!

If there is such a thing as a “perfect failure” this is it!  Considering the cost of this setup, Babolat VS Team (natural gut) in the mains and Ashaway Monogut ZX Pro (PEEK) in the crosses, it is hard to accept failure.

However, I have been using this setup for this player for well over a year and the performance certainly offsets the cost.  This is what I call the Performance/Value equation.

In this case you will notice the use of “string savers” that are installed by the payer when the first sign of “wear” is noticed.

You may want to consider using the “performance/value”, equation to determine how much you can, or want, to spend on stringing.”  If you play a lot this will be $/hour.  If you play 10 hours per week and spend $40.00 on a good stringing that is $4.00 per hour…not bad!

So tell your racquet technician that you want to spend $35.00 on your stringing and you play 20 hours (be honest) per month.  That is $1.75 per hour which is a really great value!
